A Pastoral Welcome from
Fr. Tateos R. Abdalian

On behalf of the Primate of our Armenian Diocese, The Very Rev. Fr. Daniel Findikyan and the members of the local Parish Council, I, welcome you to our community.

In Armenian we say Pari Yeguk - Welcome.

Whether this is your first visit to our community, your first encounter in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, or if you have come from a sister Armenian Church community, we are pleased to have you with us.

For over 100 years the Armenian Church has had its presence here in the United States, providing a refuge and home to all who enter through her doors.

The mission of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church is . . . to preach the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ and to proclaim its message of salvation. This mission is realized through worship, education, witness, service, and fellowship in Christ as expressed in the distinctive faith-experience of the Armenian people. All the faithful of the Armenian Church are called to participate fully in this mission.

Our Church is a member of the family of Oriental Orthodox Churches, - Armenian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Malankara Indian, and Syriac, – with the offering of Holy Communion as well as the other Sacraments reserved only for those who have been baptized and chrismated (confirmed) as Orthodox Christians.

We welcome you to the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and following, following, invite you to join us for fellowship and refreshments in the adjoining church hall.

Please take the time to introduce yourself to me and the Parish Council. We would who will be most happy to meet you.

It is our sincere hope that you will return often to worship with us, to grow in Christ and in our Armenian Orthodox Faith, and to become an active member of our parish and community.

Yours in Christ ,

The Mission of the Armenian Church in accordance to the teachings of St. Gregory the Illuminator, First Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians is . . .
To illumine all people who come into the world;
To give repentance of salvation to all;
To wash all people and deliver them from the bonds of darkness by baptism;
To seal all nations as Christ’s inner circle;
To make the Spirit of God dwell in people’s hearts;
To unite and join them to the love of the Son of God, that the heart of all might cry as one, and to unite all the world in saying: “Abba, Father,”
so that the name of enslavement might be taken away,
and the name of adoption be placed on them by the grace of Christ;
To enable them to eat the flesh of the Son of God and drink the life-giving blood, so that thereby they might bring all the world into the inheritance of Christ, to become “heirs of God and fellow heirs of Christ”.
